Deputy CISO, UNSW
As the Deputy CISO at University of New South Wales, Nivi has 15+ years of business level and extensive hands-on security experience, including 9+ years as a senior leader reporting to CISOs. She is very passionate about practicing, advocating, and promoting cyber security practices within her organization and across the Cybersecurity Industry. She is an experienced information security thought leader, speaker, author and influencer, responsible for defining and implementing an industry-leading cyber security practice that supersedes her firm’s constantly changing information security threats. She has a well-rounded cyber experience and SME level core technical knowledge in all domains on cyber security (Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, Cyber Défense, Incident Response, Strategy, Architecture, Program Delivery, Supplier Management & Security Awareness).

A skilled cyber security senior business analyst, risk professional and cyber resilience researcher with 12+ years of experience in both enterprise level and small-scale projects. She has a PhD in organisational cyber resilience and also has several years’ experience in analysing high level procedures, policies and compliance activities, with diverse experience across multiple software development and cloud transformation projects.
